Visitor InformationThe Baker Mansion History Museum is open annually from Memorial Day weekend until mid-December. The final day of our 2024 season is December 15. Public tours of the Baker Mansion will start again on May 23, 2025. Hours Open Fri., Sat., Sun 11AM-3PM (last tour starts at 2pm) Closed Monday through Thursday Season runs May - December Rates $10 per adult $5 ages 12 & under FREE ages 3 and under Call for Group Rates *Private tours of the Baker Mansion are available all year. Please contact us to schedule your personal visit to this historic piece of architecture! The Blair County Historical Society holds a collection approaching 100,000 artifacts. The major period covered is 1850 through the present. Nearly all pieces have been acquired through the donations of local residents. The collection includes a wide variety of items depicting everyday life ranging from sports memorabilia, industrial tools, militaria, and historic furnishings. The downstairs of the mansion is largely decorated as it was when the Baker Family resided there in the 19th century. Meanwhile, the upstairs is the home of the Blair County History Center and features topical exhibit galleries focusing on key people, places, events, and themes of Blair County life throughout the ages. All tours are guided.
