Become a member of the Blair County Historical Society!
For 100 years the Society has been working to preserve, promote, and interpret the history of Blair County, Pennsylvania. We are here today because a group of residents in 1906 saw the importance of preserving our history for the future generations and gave of their time and resources to move the Society forward. The future of preserving history and celebrating heritage depends as much on staff efforts as it does on donations and members as well.
The Blair County Historical Society maintains historic sites such as the Baker Mansion in Altoona and the Royer Mansion near Williamsburg. It also preserves artifacts and documents that illustrate our past, and it sponsors programs and activities for students and the public to use to explore their heritage.
